Ankara

Most of these photos are from Kale in Ankara. An older part of town. I believe it was originally controlled by the Greeks, then Romans, then, of course, the Ottomans and Turks. ancient architecture is obvious but there are also some strange features. Apparently, when rebuilding or building new, they would use whatever materials were readily available. So you could see ancient Greek carved stones embedded in a wall or doorway.
